USHL Player of the Week: Mike Posma

Mike Posma of the Omaha Lancers, is this week’s USHL Player of the Week.
When the Lincoln Stars showed up at Ralston Arena on Friday and Omaha Lancers’s Mike Posma was ready. He got things going in the first by getting the second assist on teammate Daimon Gardner’s goal. In the second, period he tacked on two goals of his own. In the third, he completed his hat-trick with the last goal (not empty net) of the Lancer’s 7-3 victory.
Forward Mike Posma (19) is a native of Pomona, NY. The majority of his youth hockey years was spent with the North Jersey Avalanche. He also divided his time with stints at St. Joseph High and the Kent School. Posma began his Junior Career with Mark Carlson’s Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in 2019 but with Cedar Rapids going offline due to the pandemic, Posma was acquired by the Tri-City Storm in the USHL Dispersal Draft. Mid-January he was traded to the Omaha Lancers where he skates today. He has committed to play for Boston College beginning in 2021-22.
