Another Butte Cobras standout will be skating at an elite ACHA school this fall. Luke Schleusner made the decision last week to attend the University of Mary and play hockey with the Marauders. He joins teammate Nick Bradshaw who also committed to the Marauders earlier this past winter. U of Mary is located in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Formed in 2018, the University of Mary quickly made itself into a national contender under head coach Daniel Hunter. The team went 39-6-2 in their first season. The Marauders captured their first ACHA Division 2 national title in 2021 and repeated in 2022. Over five seasons the program has a record of 192-33-11.Next season the Marauders make their move to ACHA Division 1.

Asked to comment on the commitment of both Schleusner and Bradshaw, Butte Cobras Head Coach Marc Broadeur had this to say; “I am so happy that Luke decided to continue his hockey career alongside Nick at UMary. They are getting two incredible players that instantly make their team better!”
