Trevor Minard Makes the Move to Steamboat

Please join the Wranglers in welcoming Trevor Minard to Steamboat Springs. Trevor grew up playing hockey for the KOHA -Kalamazoo Optimist Hockey Association in Michigan. His family then moved to Memphis, Tenn., where he joined the high school team at Collierville High School.
Trevor then played two years with the Wichita Thunder in the WSHL, and was on their WSHL Championships team in 2016-2017.
Wrangler Head Coach Ryan Dingle says, “Trevor is a gritty, sound defenseman who can play physical and effective hockey, and will be an asset to the back end.”
Minard is enjoying the snowy Steamboat weather already. “Steamboat is a really awesome town and Coach Dingle is a really good coach who knows how to run a hockey team,” says Minard. “I look forward to playing in Steamboat and being a part of the community. We don”™t get much snow in Memphis so I am excited to see what real snow is like in Northwest Colorado.”
The Steamboat Wranglers are the newest team to join the Western States Hockey League. The WSHL is an Amateur Athletic Union, Tier II Junior “A” hockey league that has been in continuous existence since 1994. The WSHL is the second largest junior hockey league in North America, with 30 teams in 14 states. The Wranglers are part of the Mountain Division of the WSHL.
