Steamboat Wranglers Welcome Nick Kapushion

The Steamboat Wranglers are proud to announce the addition of Nick Kapushion to the team. Nick comes to the Wranglers from Erie, Colo., where he grew up playing hockey with Hyland Hills Junior Hockey and Boulder Hockey Club, starting at four years old. Kapushion also made it to the international Silver Sticks tournament in Canada twice. More recently, he played for Centaurus High School.
Wrangler Asst. Captain and teammate JJ Landers says, “Nick adds depth on the back end. He’s a big body with a physical presence, who isn’t afraid to go into the corners and win battles, while putting himself on the line for the team.”
Nick is ready to play for the Wranglers, in Northwest Colorado. “I love Steamboat because it is a great town with a great culture. The Wranglers are a great team with a lot of talent. I’m excited for our playoffs this season.”
The Steamboat Wranglers are the newest team to join the Western States Hockey League. The WSHL is an Amateur Athletic Union, Tier II Junior “A” hockey league that has been in continuous existence since 1994. The WSHL is the second largest junior hockey league in North America, with 30 teams in 14 states. The Wranglers are part of the Mountain Division of the WSHL.
