Players’ Log: Day 44 in Alaska

Monday morning brings on a new week as the day of the NAHL draft draws nearer. I woke up today ready to get something to eat for our workout today. After eating per my usual routine, I went back downstairs to watch a little T.V. When the time came my roommate and I left to go to our workout.
Since my back injury is fully healed, I was able to push myself to the fullest today. After our workout, we rushed back to our house to get a quick meal in our bodies before heading to our first Coach Morris skate in just about two weeks. We left not soon after eating to go to the practice.
The practice was high tempo as usual, but not skating consistently for the last two weeks showed towards the end of the skate. Even though I was tired at the end of that skate I still pushed through to the very end.
After the skate, we came back to the house where our billet dad was nice enough to make us dinner. For dinner tonight he made us some grilled chicken with rice, vegetables, and some bread and butter. After eating I helped and cleaned up dinner. After cleaning up dinner we sat and talked for a little bit before heading downstairs and winding down for the night.
