Butte opened the weekend series with a 7-5 win on Friday night. Luke Schleusner scored twice while adding a pair of helpers to lead the offense. Bradshaw and Patrick Crooks chipped in with a goal and two assists each.

Butte completed the two-game sweep on Saturday winning 4-1. Quinn Nichols, Tamer Billman, Crooks and Bradshaw scored for the Cobras while goaltender Caleb Cross made 19 saves.

Zander Harp signs tender

The Butte Cobras have their first singing for the 2023-24 season. Zander Harp, a 2006-born goaltender, has tendered for next season.

A product of the Vancouver (Washington) Youth Hockey Association, Harp currently plays with the Tacoma Rockets 16U AA where his has amassed a brilliant .941 save% over 28 games played.

Head coach Marc Brodeur is very familiar with the talent of the Pacific Northwest having recently coached in the Portland area.

Brodeur commented on the signing saying, “I expect him to be a very solid Junior hockey goaltender.”

With both Caleb Cross and Nikolai Wallary playing in their last season of Juniors, the 16-year old Harp could figure in the goaltender rotation soon.
