McCarthy Manyfingers joins the Steamboat Wranglers

The Steamboat Wranglers are proud to welcome to McCarthy Manyfingers from Lethbridge, Alberta.
Manyfingers joins two other Lethbridge teammates, one of whom is his cousin, Dalton Eagle Bear. Both players started their hockey careers with the Kainai Chiefs and then played for the Lethbridge Midget AA. McCarthy played Juniors for the High River Flyers in Alberta. Then he started hearing about hockey in Steamboat Springs.
“I heard it is a good team and a great place to live, with really great hockey.” McCarthy is part of First Nation in Canada, and the Blood Tribe. He says he knows he’ll fit in well with the Steamboat community, and he will love being a Wrangler.
Wrangler Head Coach Ryan Dingle says, “McCarthy has a big, physical presence with a huge offensive upside, and a very heavy shot.”
The Steamboat Wranglers are the newest team to join the Western States Hockey League. The WSHL is an Amateur Athletic Union, Tier II Junior “A” hockey league that has been in continuous existence since 1994. The WSHL is the second largest junior hockey league in North America, with 30 teams in 14 states. The Wranglers are part of the Mountain Division of the WSHL.
