The Steamboat Wranglers are happy to welcome CJ Storey to the team. CJ started his hockey career when he was five years old, with the Greater Vernon Minor Hockey Association in British Columbia, where he played through Bantams. He then moved to Southern California and played for the California Wave Hockey Club, before heading to Colorado where he played Midgets with Boulder Hockey Club. His family is now in South Lake Tahoe, Calif., and CJ is in Steamboat, playing for the Wranglers.

“I’d heard about Coach Dingle, and what an amazing coach he is, so I decided to look into the Steamboat program, and heard there was an opportunity to play with a great bunch of guys. Plus, Steamboat is a great ski town where they love hockey just as much as I do.”

Coach Dingle says, “CJ is a crafty right winger who can create plays out of nothing. His offensive creativity will help spark our offense.”

As for CJ, he’s ready for a snowy winter in Northwest Colorado. “I’m excited to be wearing a Wrangler jersey, and representing the Steamboat Wranglers.”

The Steamboat Wranglers are the newest team to join the Western States Hockey League. The WSHL is an Amateur Athletic Union, Tier II Junior “A” hockey league that has been in continuous existence since 1994. The WSHL is the second largest junior hockey league in North America, with 30 teams in 14 states. The Wranglers are part of the Mountain Division of the WSHL.
