Heisler Group’s Stars of the Week Junior Hockey News

Third Stars
Matt Moran, Granite City Lumberjacks, North American 3 Hockey League: Moran continued to add to his strong resume for his last year of junior hockey, scoring a goal in the Lumberjacks’ 4-1 win over the New Ulm Steel on Friday night. The 1998-born forward has racked up 11 goals and five assists in 23 games for Granite City.

Kevin Lake, Louisiana Drillers, NA3HL: Lake played two-thirds of Friday night’s 4-0 win over the College Station Spirit. Nothing got by the 1998 goalie. In eight games with the Drillers this season, Lake was a perfect 8-0 with a 1.53 goals-against average and a .951 save percentage.

Peyton Kelly, Thompson Blazers, British Columbia Major/Minor Midget League: Kelly scored his 13th goal of the season in the Blazers’ 8-4 win over the Vancouver North East Chiefs on Sunday. The 2002 forward also has 20 assists on the year.

Second Star
Cameron Knowlton, Willmar WarHawks, NA3HL: Knowlton scored a goal Sunday afternoon in Willmar’s 4-3 overtime win over the New Ulm Steel. The 1999 forward, the game’s Second Star, was a plus-2 for the game. He finished his NA3HL season with five goals and 13 assists in 20 games.

First Star
Marquez Ginger, WarHawks, NA3HL: The 1999 forward scored his team’s first two goals Sunday, and was a plus-2, which earned him the game’s First Star. In 22 games with the WarHawks, he’s scored 10 goals and added eight assists.
